We are seeking a Revit MEP technician to join our expanding team. Based in Liverpool and reporting to the BIM manager the main purpose of your role is to use CAD/Revit software to create 2D & 3D models and design plans in accordance with the company CAD, technical and data management strategy and protocols including building information modelling, document management systems and common data environments. Duties include:

 

General CAD/Revit duties:

  • Handle complex drafting assignments under minimum supervision from senior team members.
  • Create and develop 2D & 3D models and working drawings from sketches or descriptions developed by Engineers for MEP systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm and containment.
  • Review own drawings for completeness prior to checking from senior team members.
  • Maintain all revisions of project drawings.
  • Revise and update CAD/Revit drawings as required.
  • Work with other teams to obtain reference information for drawings.
  • Work with project teams to execute projects on time and on budget.
  • Ensure that all work carried out is in compliance with company standards.
  • Liaise with other disciplines and clients as required to obtain critical design information necessary to complete project.
  • Accompany senior team members in project meetings (if required.)
  • Represent the company in BIM coordination workshops (if required.)

 

BIM Project Coordination

  • Lead BIM input for specific projects.
  • Ensure BIM protocols & standards maintained/implemented for project models

 

 Quality:

  • Participate in Quality Audits and ensure that any non-conformances are closed out within agreed timescales, and proactively adopt / disseminate best practice wherever it is identified.

 

Personal Objectives, Learning and Development:

  • Participate in training and 1-2-1s in line with Personal Development Plan
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff.

  • Ensure information about the business of the Company is only divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the Company policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.

This list is not exhaustive and we would expect the successful candidate to be willing to undertake adhoc duties in supporting other members of the office when necessary.

 

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years Revit experience within the building services sector working for either a M&E consultancy or M&E subcontractor (or similar). You should be approachable, self-motivated, enthusiastic and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You should have the ability to meet deadlines and be able to work effectively both individually and enjoy contributing to the wider team to achieve targets and objectives as required. IT literate with relevant software packages including Revit, AutoCAD, and Outlook. We will consider applications from experienced AutoCAD users who express the desire to transition to Revit.

Qualifications:

ONC/HNC in relevant engineering discipline

Revit qualifications
