The project involved the remodelling and refurbishment of the existing Corn Exchange commercial Office building in Fenwick Street Liverpool City Centre in to a ten storey, 210 serviced apartment hotel for Stay City complete with meeting rooms, Restaurant, Laundry, and Gymnasium facilities.
All of the rooms are provided with a hybrid VRF air conditioning system providing heating and cooling interlinked with inverters mounted on the roof. Although city centre fresh air is delivered via openable windows. Dirty extract is provided to each ensuite with flow controlled by occupancy regulating the main extract fans on the roof according to demand. Water is stored in a basement tank and boosted throughout the building with hot water generated via gas fired heaters.
