The project involved the refurbishment of a significant portion of the existing building, including the complete strip-out and remodelling of the majority of the ground floor and all teaching spaces on the first and second floors. The works were carried out to create a modern teaching environment suitable for the delivery of T Level qualifications.

During the construction period, the building remained occupied for administrative use only. Enabling works were undertaken to ensure the continued operation of essential services. The main server, originally located near the entrance, was relocated to maintain uninterrupted functionality. The motor vehicle workshops were closed for the duration of the works, and a new entrance was constructed to allow staff access to the offices without passing through the construction zone.
