Name: Rob Wootton
Role: Electrical Engineer
What made you choose to become a project engineer?
As I’m currently in the early stages of my engineering career, serving as a project engineer provides me with a valuable understanding of the tasks involved in each project I’m working on. It enables me to broaden my knowledge and skills by collaborating with experience senior engineers and it’s this ongoing development that ensures that I am continually enhancing my skill set, which I am hoping with continue to bring success at Steven A. Hunt & Associates.
What has been your favourite job you’ve worked on so far in your career?
In my previous workplace there was a large commercial/residential development which pushed me to broaden my skills and knowledge that I thoroughly enjoyed working on. It also allowed me to develop as an individual as I was the lead for the vast majority of the project which enhanced my knowledge of how to deal with a large-scale project.
What do you like doing outside of work?
Recently I have been doing a large amount of home renovations with the purchase of my first house including, kitchen installations, fitting flooring and painting which I have thoroughly enjoyed. Outside of the house, I enjoy my cricket training and eating out.
If you weren't an electrical engineer, what would you be?
Quite unrealistic but a Professional Cricketer. If not that, then an Architect.
