Name: Lee Hillier

Role: Electrical Engineer

What made you choose to become a project engineer?

Becoming an electrical engineer has been driven by a love for challenges, a desire to work as part of a team, and an early interest in engineering guided by close family members.

What has been your favourite job you’ve worked on so far in your career?

My favourite job so far has seen me contributing to the design of an award-winning office building over the water in Birkenhead. It was a rewarding experience to be part of a project that not only met high standards but also received recognition for its excellence in the industry.

What do you like doing outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my young family whether that be exploring a zoo or indulging in the tranquillity of fishing. On a personal note, I've had a passion for swimming since my youth and even participated in competitive swimming. It's a great way for me to stay active and connected to something I've loved for a long time.

If you weren't an electrical engineer, what would you be?

If I weren't an electrical engineer, I'd likely pursue a career as either a police officer or a zoo keeper.
