Coffee or tea? Milk in first or last?
Coffee of a morning, tea of an afternoon/ night. There’s only one right way to make a cup of tea; tea bag then water, remove teabag add sugar then milk LAST. Any other way is wrong and its not up for debate
What made you choose to become a building services engineer?
I never particularly knew I wanted to be a building services engineer specifically. I have spent the last 6 years in education learning mechanical engineering in college then university so I always knew I wanted to be a mechanical engineer but I just didn’t know what sector of mechanical engineering I wanted to venture into. I then came across this role within Steven Hunt and after reading more about the role & about Steven Hunt there was no doubt that this was my career path I needed to take.
Which is your favourite project that you are working on right now?
There is a few different aspects of projects I’m currently enjoying but my favourite is definitely the Crumpsall Vale Medical centre as this is a project I have been given a bit of freedom on, and being able to deploy the knowledge I’ve been gifted by other engineers in my time here.
What do you like doing outside of work?
Outside of work I mostly play 5 & 7 a side football a few times a week with friends and colleagues. I also enjoy camping & mountain climbing.
If you were not a building services engineer, what would you be?
There have been a few career paths I have wanted to take over the last 10 years but because a few members of my family have been engineers all their lives I’ve always known I wanted to work within a branch of mechanical engineering. If I was not a building services engineer I would’ve liked to work within aerospace or automotive engineering & if I had to pick a career outside of engineering I would’ve tried to become a fireman.
Which actor would play you in a film?
This was the hardest question of them all but I would pick Jake Gyllenhaal. The main reason is he’s relatively boring like me, an amazing actor and its who my fiancée wishes I was!
