I have experience in the design of mechanical services and in the development of the detail, producing working drawings, specifications, and liaising with other members of the professional team. I also perform the role of a Senior Project Engineer, overseeing both mechanical and electrical design work and installations on site. I am the in-house CDM Coordinator and I ensure each project complies with legislation.

Steven Hunt & Associates produce Building Services or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) designs. Anything that’s connected by a pipe or wire in a building, we design it.

• Favourite sports team - Everton
• Favourite book (Business) - The last one I read was ‘Quiet - The Power of Introverts in a World that Can’t Stop Talking’
• Favourite band/artist/song - I’m not sure that I trust anybody that only has one answer for this, I own hundreds of records, and have been to loads of concerts. It’s impossible to pick one. The band at our wedding let us pick two songs that we wanted them to play and I asked for Rocks by Primal Scream and She Bangs The Drums by The Stone Roses. I can recommend them as Indie dance floor fillers.

My proudest business moment is becoming Director of the company that I have worked at for over 24 years.

Advice to younger me

My advice for 18-year-old me would be... Hang in there and back yourself because you’re on the right path. It might take you longer to achieve the things you want than you’d like, but it will be worth it in the end. There’s a few horrible things coming up that you’d give anything to change, but you’ll gain a new perspective by living through them.
