M&E specialists Steven Hunt & Associates has secured a record number of new contract wins this quarter, to cap an exceptional year of business.
Having already worked on several iconic projects in the city, including Royal Court Liverpool and the Tobacco Warehouse throughout 2017, the Speke-based business has now won five new multi-million pound projects to add to its burgeoning portfolio.
Experts in delivering high quality building services, the Level 2 BIM practioners has been contracted to work on the £15m refurbishment at the University of Liverpool’s School of Law. Situated at the Cypress Building, the team will help to extend the existing five-storey building, with work at the Mount Pleasant campus set to conclude in 2019.
Having worked at numerous colleges and schools over the years, the business has now also been awarded the contract to work on the £12m Liverpool John Moores University refurbishment project at Avril Robarts and Aldham Robarts libraries, working to create an innovative and exciting space that will encourage students to work, eat and relax in the same building. Work on this project is set to commence in May 2018.

Working across a range of sectors and properties since its formation 28 years ago, the firm has also shown its versatility after being appointed to work at a new £2m, 20,000 square warehouse with associated offices in Speke.
Steven Hunt & Associates has also been appointed by Torus Group, to work on two separate care homes – on Atlas Street in St Helens and on Harpers Road in Warrington.
The £13m project at Atlas Street will consist of the construction of a five-storey extra care facility, with 130 apartments. The new development incorporates a mixture of one and two bed apartments, each with an open plan living room and kitchen diner, bedrooms and bathroom complete with a shower. Steven Hunt & Associates are set to design the central boiler plant that will allow the individual tenants to have full control of their heating systems. The work is due to commence in the new year with completion expected May 2019.
Similar to Atlas Street, the £10m project at Harpers Road will contain 97 apartments, constructed over four floors, with work set to begin in January.
