BAE Systems - MEST Building

We were involved in the design of mechanical and electrical services for the construction of for a new Material Engineering Support Test (MEST) facility for BAE.

The facilities include seven state-of-the-art laboratories and office space for 50 engineers complete with roof void plant area and comms room.

Construction of the MEST building started in October 2008 and it was completed ahead of schedule and on budget in July 2009.

In a press release by BAE Systems, Dave Holmes, Director of Investment and Infrastructure Services said:  "I'm really proud of all the teams involved in this particular project, this is a fantastic facility housing a state-of-the-art laboratory environment with a world class office feel."
