Argos Distribution Centre

A 40,000sqm distrbution centre with highbay racking, mezzanine floors and a four storey office block. The challenge was to construct this building inside ten months and failure to achieve this would result in severe penalty damages.
In addition to the standard service requirement's, which includes full ventilation, an induced air system to the warehouse and battery charge extraction, the building also incorporates sprinklers for life protection, smoke ventilation and a comprehensive fire alarm system. All of this embraced a fire engineering strategy that we negotiated in close consultation with the fire authority.

The services required close coordination at design stage to ensure that on site disruption was at a minimum and installations were progressed in keeping with the strict programme.

The project was completed two months early and achieved approval from all statutory bodies well in advance of occupancy.
