M&E fit for a Queen

The Duchy of Lancaster is developing Crewe Hall Farm, converting distinguished ex barn buildings in to modern office accommodation. Steve Hunt and the team examined a number of sustainable technologies and concluded rainwater harvesting and night time cooling provided the most feasible and economical solutions for sustainable design.
On site CHP was considered but didnt prove viable, instead heating is distributed via a small district heating scheme drawing LPHW via a heat source from an adjacent site with excess supply.
The scheme is now underway and works are being undertaken by Eric Wright Construction Ltd.
